  • Recognizing the Armed Forces
    Prior to August 31, 1949, each branch of the military had its own day of celebration--that is until the Secretary of Defense announced the creation of Armed Forces Day. Less than a year later, the President of the United States issued a presidential proclamation declaring a day of celebration recognizing all branches of the Armed Forces. The first official Armed Forces Day was held May 20, 1950.   (05/12/06)

  • PHFA Offers Online Account Management
    The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) takes another step to make home ownership more manageable. Homebuyers with PHFA mortgages can make payments online or enroll in the “Automatic Monthly Payment Program” to have payments automatically deducted from their bank accounts. Borrowers and participating lenders can enroll for online account management at: http://www.phfa.org/ephfa/   (04/28/06)

  • Income Tax Check Off to Support PA Military Families
    The Pennsylvania Military Family Relief Assistance Program (MFRAP), created by the Pennsylvania General Assembly with the enactment of Act 65 of 2005, will accept contributions through the 2005 Pennsylvania Personal Income Tax Forms, to be mailed in early January 2006.   (01/18/06)

    FAIRLESS HILLS, PA – State Senator Joe Conti (R-Bucks, Montgomery) will host his third annual Senior Citizen Expo on Friday, April 21, 2006 at the St. Frances Cabrini School Gymnasium in Fairless Hills, from 10 AM to 1 PM. Admission is free and open to the general public.
