Recognizing the Armed Forces Prior to August 31, 1949, each branch of the military had its own day of celebration--that is until the Secretary of Defense announced the creation of Armed Forces Day. Less than a year later, the President of the United States issued a presidential proclamation declaring a day of celebration recognizing all branches of the Armed Forces. The first official Armed Forces Day was held May 20, 1950.

Homebuyers with PHFA mortgages can make payments online or enroll in the “Automatic Monthly Payment Program” to have payments automatically deducted from their bank accounts. Income Tax Check Off to Support PA Military Families The Pennsylvania Military Family Relief Assistance Program (MFRAP), created by the Pennsylvania General Assembly with the enactment of Act 65 of 2005, will accept contributions through the 2005 Pennsylvania Personal Income Tax Forms, to be mailed in early January 2006.
