  • Deer Management Assistance Program Enrollment Open
    Landowners have until July 1, 2006 to enroll in the Deer Management Assistance Program (DMAP) intended to help landowners manage deer on their properties.   (05/12/06)

  • Hunting Seasons and Bag Limits Set for 2006-07
    Hunters showed up en masse for the PA Game Commission’s (PGC) April 17-18, 2006 Board Meeting to participate in the decision-making process for establishing hunting seasons, bag limits, and antlerless deer license allocations. According to the PGC Board, they have approved a slate of 2006-07 deer seasons “in balance with all public views on the direction of the state's deer management program.”   (04/24/06)

    [05/10/06] PENNSYLVANIA ENERGY HARVEST GRANT PROGRAM APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE

    HARRISBURG. -- The PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) recently announced the availability of $5 million for innovative energy deployment projects addressing the concerns of air quality protection or improvement and watershed protection or improvement, Sen. Joe Conti (R-Bucks, Montgomery) reported today. Applications will be accepted until July 14, 2006.
