  • Deer Management Assistance Program Enrollment Open
    Landowners have until July 1, 2006 to enroll in the Deer Management Assistance Program (DMAP) intended to help landowners manage deer on their properties.   (05/12/06)

  • Hunting Seasons and Bag Limits Set for 2006-07
    Hunters showed up en masse for the PA Game Commission’s (PGC) April 17-18, 2006 Board Meeting to participate in the decision-making process for establishing hunting seasons, bag limits, and antlerless deer license allocations. According to the PGC Board, they have approved a slate of 2006-07 deer seasons “in balance with all public views on the direction of the state's deer management program.”   (04/24/06)

  • Participate in Setting Hunting Season & Bag Limits
    If you’d like to participate in the decision-making process to establish the 2006-07 hunting seasons, bag limits and antlerless deer license allocations, mark your calendar for Monday, April 17, 2006. The Pennsylvania Board of Game Commissioners is scheduled to accept public comment on these matters beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the PGC Headquarters located at 2001 Elmerton Avenue, just off the Progress Avenue exit of Interstate 81.   (03/31/06)

    With just weeks until the opening day of trout season, do you have your fishing license yet? The PA Fish & Boat Commission (PF&BC) reminds regulars and those searching for another way to enjoy Pennsylvania’s great outdoors, to sign up for a trout permit before Saturday, April 15, 2006. Pennsylvania trout season begins at 8 a.m. on the first Saturday after April 11, and continues until midnight on Labor Day.   (03/24/06)
